South Perth Post Office, 59 Angelo Street, South Perth. (1939)
This 2 storey building of reinforced concrete with red and chocolate covered pressed brick patterned facade. It is set back one course in a herringbone pattern and a soldier brick frieze.
It is in the Interwar Stripped Classical style with symmetrical facades, with vertical classical entablature and base.
It has a telephone exchange adjoining to the east.
A hipped marsailles pattern terracotta tiled roof set behind a parapet. The wrought iron grilles, notable for their design, further enhance the elegant look of the building.
